01

Overview

Streets of Lissé is an interactive map and digital storytelling experience for Walker Ryan’s Streets of Lissé book series — a way to walk the places inside the stories and read them where they happened.

02

My Role

UX / Interactive Design — concept, information architecture, interaction design, and the visual system, prototyped in Figma and Framer.

03

Problem / Opportunity

The books live as static pages. The opportunity: let readers explore the streets themselves — connecting place, book chapters, and short stories — without turning a reading experience into a noisy map app.

04

Key Design Decisions

  • 01

Map-first information architecture: the streets are the navigation, and each location anchors its own stories.

  • 02

Book and short-story integration designed as quiet layers over the map, not separate sections to manage.

  • 03

A restrained visual system — muted cartography, considered type — so the writing stays in front.

  • 04

Interaction flows prototyped and tested in Figma / Framer before any build begins.

06

Outcome / Current Status

In development. The concept, information architecture, and prototype are in progress — the experience is not yet live.
